If you can cross a street in Saigon you can realise your dreams

I love Saigon traffic and people look horrified when I tell them. A dazzling amount of bikes occupies the street here. From the business man to work to the transport of doors, even complete families are on one bike. An infant lying relaxed on his mothers lap while a mother gives him a bottle, staring to the other bikes passing by. Zebra crossings are an indication pedestrians can cross a street there, not that people stop for them. With this swarm of motor bikes crossing a street in Saigon can be very daunting as first. But I love it, especially the busy ones, because it reminds me on how I can make my dreams happen. And that appears to be quite easy.

1. I have to take direction.
Motor bikes will just go around you, but they can only anticipate my moves if I have chosen where to go.
2. I can’t wait until I have eliminated all the risks.
When I cross the road I don’t do the look left- look right – look left routine, I do in the netherlands. It doesn’t make sense here, the traffic changes to much to search for a clear path.
3. It can be daunting at first, but it’s easier when your right into it.
In the beginning it seems difficult to go but it’s much easier when youre in the middle of the road. Most traffic just goes around you.
4. So mostly I just have to walk and sometimes adjust my pace.
