He stares in front of him and caries a sad expression on his face. For a week now he is sitting on a bench in this Saigon park. The trees give the graduated engineer a place in the shade. His blouse and trousers show no wrinkles. He came to the city for a job interview and now he’s waiting for news. The unemployedness and being away from home wears on him. At first he doesn’t want to join in drawing. He is miserable and home sick. He doesn’t have good things from last week. But he’s willing to give it a go. Home is the place he likes best. So he draws his brother watering the plants, some playing kids and the moon with stars. When I leave the man, he wears a big smile.
