amazement in the night train from Boden to Sundsvall

Gretchen, a lady from Millwaukee comes to me:  “Excuse me, but I was just over there in the other end of the carriage and everybody is drawing. They are quite serious about it and smiling. It brings happiness.  You would think that everybody objects to draw. But they do it. It’s a great idea. I don’t think people in the United States would do it. ” She is sincerely amazed although she has just drawn her own hike in the North.

It’s indeed a happy bunch at the other side of the coach. There are more people than on our side and lots of groups are drawing. Such as friends who had had been hiking. Camping scenes are being drawn but also the shower afterwards.

Also a Norwegian girls soccer team is happily drawing. Hanging over their seats they watch the results of the others and sometimes a moment is being drawn by two people at a time. A couple of minutes after I collected the drawings two of them come to my seat. Whether the group could have more cards, they like it so much.
